Feeling torn? Here’s a look at the relative popularity of the search phrase vegan restaurants among residents in the top 5 vegan cities. In other words: The Brits (purple) search for vegan restaurants more than twice as much as residents in the other 4 cities.

According to data gathered by Google, searches related to vegan city travel have been most popular in the following countries:

Top Countries Using #Vegan
Hashtags tell us a lot about a place and the people who live there. Below, hashtag data tells us where the topic of veganism is most popular (source: Hashtagify).

- Great Britain: 19.37%
- Canada: 7.86%
- France: 4.27%
- Italy: 3.99%

Looking at the data, we can tell that U.S. residents are responsible for about 54% of all Tweets and Instagram posts tagged with #vegan. Great Britain is responsible for about 20%. No surprise there, since the Trends data above indicates the Brits search for vegan restaurant way more than any other vegan city in the world. Canada, France, and Italy round out the top 5, although #vegan is significantly less popular in those countries.
